- The Cybertruck and Ford Raptor R went head-to-head in a drag race.
- The Cybertruck left the Ford Raptor R in the dust.
- With every inch, the gap between them only grew.
Someone decided to line up a Tesla Cybertruck against a Ford Raptor R for a quarter-mile drag race.
Sure, we know the Cybertruck has the power to beat most vehicles, so its win isn’t a total shock.
But the gap? It’s so massive, it almost doesn’t make sense.
The Raptor R? Left in the dust, with the Cybertruck taking the victory without question.
Tesla Cybertruck vs. Ford Raptor R
In a drag race conducted by the team behind the SterlingsWildWest YouTube channel, the Cybertruck took the win with no doubt.
Both the Cybertruck and the Raptor R share one thing in common: they’re both pickup trucks.
Beyond that, they couldn’t be more different.
The Cybertruck is built to be a “disruptor,” with a design so bold and unique that it sparks strong opinions—people either love it or hate it.
In contrast, Ford’s Raptor R is a more traditional, straightforward truck.
And, of course, the Cybertruck is electric, cranking out 845 horsepower.

The Ford Raptor R is powered by a 5.2-liter V8, which shares some DNA with the engine in the record-breaking Mustang GTD, but it ‘only’ churns out 720 horsepower.
On the other hand, the Cybertruck puts down 845 horsepower and can hit 0-60mph in just 2.6 seconds, while the Raptor R takes 3.7 seconds to reach the same speed.
These performance differences were glaringly evident in the quarter-mile drag race.
The Cybertruck launched off the line, leaving the Raptor R far behind, and the gap only grew wider with every inch.
When a Quarter-Mile Drag Race Against the Cybertruck Goes Wrong
The Cybertruck, or as it’s been dubbed, the Cyberbeast, seems to be unbeatable in a quarter-mile drag race.
So far, it’s crushed a Porsche 911, a Lamborghini Aventador, and even other EVs like the GMC Hummer EV.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise.
One thing EVs excel at is delivering immense torque right from the start.
